If you use the right colours this Rainbow Loom owl looks amazing! We did not use the right colours!:) We should have used white bands instead of silver, and grey instead of maroon.
This is what it should look like: (Owl pictured is by Erin Wright.)
To tell you the truth, this is one of the most difficult RL projects we have ever attempted. That is, aside from the Rainbow Loom iPhone case.
The video tutorial for this owl started out great, but it went downhill as it progressed and became very, very difficult to follow. We do not recommend this tutorial unless you are extremely skilled at RL!
We hope that RainbowLoomCreation makes a new and improved video, because it is such a neat project!

Here is Part Two:
Here is Part Three:
SO CUTE!!! Do you need two looms for this? I loaned out my second one for a week. And that week doesn’t end until Saturday. But if it only requires one loom, I’m back in business!
Why is it so complicated???? There’s 3 parts and you said how hard it is!! It just looks like a fishtail in the shape of an owl, which sounds easy!!!! Is it really that hard?????? Please tell me, because I might try it!!!
P.S. I LOVE your website, Loom Love!!!!!!!!!
Kaylee, it’s super hard.
loom love I need you to reply to this very soon because can you take me over and help me to do any thing that is less complicated. P.S can you get it soon.********* plzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hi Loomlove! The person who made this amazing charm is rainbowloomcreations
No, my daughter, Erin Wright made the white owl charm.
The owl isn’t terribly difficult to do as long as you take your time. The video is extremely difficult to follow though. I had to go back many, many times. The bands are very hard to see, even when I put the video in full screen mode. I didn’t find the instructor all that helpful in some places, and when looping bands, it sure doesn’t help that the loom is pointing down towards the table. But in the end, my owl turned out okay, with only minor mistakes that I was able to stitch up, luckily. So it wasn’t a complete waste of my time. I did make my owl in the white/gray tone colors. For the two white bands I used one white band and one glow band, so he glows in the dark, and he looks pretty cool. My fiance has a thing for owls, so he really likes the little guy. Don’t be afraid, try it!
I made a owl on 2 forks and many more things….just go to youtube and then type loom band charms using two forks and you will get a lot of things…
That is my owl charm (the white one). I got the video from rainbowloomcreations but the white owl itself was not made by that person. I made it and can prove it by taking a pic of the couch cushion you see behind my hand
Thanks for letting us know Erin. We love your owl!!
Ah ha! Made it on my first attempt–but a few bands broke in the hooking process, and I could even find one band! But it’s done and looks (mildly) okay.
Loom it up, peeps!
i love it
I just started working on looms, and the bands are hard to see’ I couldn’t do it.
Although it may look like a fishtail, it is actually a single using doubled bands in the shape of an owl. ๐
That was the worst! I tried it three times and it still did’nt work!
It’s hard but mine looks really good
If loomlove can sell these how much will it be?
And why is it so hard to make?
And are these more difficult than other bracelets or charms?
Please make up a cheerleader figure. -Jamie Lynn
Totally love loom love. My friend Ellis wanted to buy a cheerleader.
OMG… this is SOOO cute!! Plus, it’s not that hard at all. The video was a tiny bit blurry, so I couldn’t see much. But still, great creation!!
Horrible the videos would not work loomlove u need to fix it.
I actually like the colors you chose for the owl ! The other one looks like Hedwig , Harry Potter’s owl ! And that’s a good thing
it does look like it
Yes!!! I SO agree! I am a BIG fan of Harry Potter and J.K Rowling. (And Hermione! I write comments as Hermione Granger because I LOVE her and when I take Harry Potter Which Character Are You quizzes, 96% of the time I get Hermione. Everyone in my grade thinks that I am like Hermione too ๐
YOUR JUST LIKE ME
AGREED
My daughter tried this 3 times and ended up in tears each time as she couldn’t get the weaving part toward the end. I tried it and couldn’t see which band I was suppose to be pulling so mine didn’t work either. We will give it one last try together and use the same colors that the video uses to see if that helps us. It’s horribly frustrating, hours wasted trying to figure it out. Where’s the fun in that for the child?
We did warn you it was difficult TLC. Our mom was almost in tears too!
Hey loom love, could I, instead of using the video, make a double banded triple single plus the eys wings feet and beak and make the owl but in a differnt way?
P.S I think you owl turned out supercute
love it loved the colors of the white and gray owl like kimluvsloomlove said it looks like harry potters owl read thewhole seires and percy jackson :]
Hey LoomLove,
Above I asked if I could use a triple single for it and then I tried it and it worked!!! I would love to show it off!!!
P.S if you guys to another contest, could you do it charm themed?:)
It sounds cool! Is it as strong as the normal owl though?
So cute! ๐ I haven’t made it yet because I only have one loom ๐
Hermione Granger
P.S Ellen Carpenter’s blog, http://craftingfantastic.blogspot.co.uk/ is REALLY good, her designs are amazing and for most of them, you need two looms but for nearly every bracelet/charm there is a one loom version too! I have made TONS of her designs ๐
If you visited Ellen Carpenter’s blog, can you please tell me what you thought of it?
The owl is very cute. But as people ar saying is ร bit difficult to see. I am dutch so is see the moost of the time only bij camera. Maybe ร beter one schoting?
Is there any easy one’s for beginners? ??
Really Cool!
Hi! So i finally got around to making his and it turned out amazing!!! Thank you SOOOO much for this post!!!:):) I love my owl! I used the white grey and black color combo but personally I like y’all’s better!:)
the white one looks like hedwig i love it
you know, your colour combos are always so AWESOME! I like your’s better than Erin’s!
I feel so happy to find such a cute and easy charm…. And oh….it takes only one loom
Loomlover??? Yes there is a VERY easy one its an instruct able by nburk1 and its super cute and very easyยก!!!!!!!!!
I made one of these without a tutorial and using two boards that were completely different shapes and sizes. It took about an hour and I did it before this was even posted, it wasn’t that hard really compared to other complicated loom bands I have created!
